Spirulina is grown on the Guérande Peninsula in Assérac. The culture medium contains up to 50% seawater,enriched with minerals and trace elements from the sea. Spirulysat is made by extraction of the spirulina. Without raising the temperature, preserving the nutrients and active molecules. The liquid extract of fresh spirulina allows the hydrophilic molecules to remain in their original form. Unlike dried spirulina, in Spirulysat these molecules retain their so-called quaternary structure. This preserves their biological properties. Spirulysat naturally contains phycocyanin.
